What kind of places where chocolate is produced in India

While India is known for its rich variety of spices, it is not particularly known for chocolate production. However, there are a few places in India where chocolate is produced:

  • Mysore, Karnataka: Mysore is home to the famous chocolate brand, Ganache Chocolate, which produces high-quality artisanal chocolates.
  • Ooty, Tamil Nadu: Ooty is known for its chocolate factories such as King Star Chocolate and Moddy's Chocolates, which produce a variety of chocolates.
  • Manali, Himachal Pradesh: Manali is home to the famous chocolate brand, Alpine Chocolat Haus, which produces handmade chocolates.
  • Pondicherry: Pondicherry is a former French colony and is known for its chocolate shops and cafes such as Zuka Choco-La and La Maison Rose, which serve a variety of chocolates.
  • Bangalore, Karnataka: Bangalore is home to several artisanal chocolate brands such as Fabelle Chocolates, Mason & Co., and Jus'Trufs Chocolatiers, which produce high-quality chocolates using Indian ingredients.

It's worth noting that while these places have some chocolate production, it's not necessarily a major industry in India compared to countries like Switzerland, Belgium, or France.
